Isn’t it time we stop overlooking our own self-care? Rachel Letham is a Business Success Coach, self-care guru, and author of Self-Care For The Seasons. We’re discussing not only Rachel’s journey to self-care but also about bringing well-being into our day-to-day life as much as possible, no matter what season of life we are in.

Rachel’s Road To Self-Care

Rachel started her career in the fresh produce industry, traveling the world to source berries to supply UK supermarkets. Throughout the years, she held various roles from Head of Supply Chains to running a strawberry farm. Despite working 80 hour weeks, she found she had free time and wanted to do something creative for herself, so Rachel started a blog. Her blog quickly evolved into an online fashion and lifestyle magazine which also got her promoted in her day job to Head of Brand & Communications.

After experiencing a potentially life-altering experience, Rachel realized that she needed more balance. After being told she would make a good coach, Rachel further explored the opportunity and thus created her business. Rachel offered self-care advice that naturally came to her and resonated with others. She started a self-care survival kit and created a deck of cards - 52 Ways to Bring Self-Care Into Your Life. All of this has led to her new book, Self-Care For The Seasons.

Rachel’s Book Self-Care For The Seasons

Rachel wrote her book, Self-Care For The Seasons, as a resource guide for people to come back to when it worked for them. Rachel has had a global audience and is conscious that we aren’t all in the same climatic season of the year at the same time. Rachel also knows that many of us are experiencing different seasons of life, therefore this is a guide that can be utilized on every self-care journey regardless of what season of year or life you’re in. She reminds us that even small acts of self-care are needed by all of us and can provide great benefit. There are no two same definitions of self-care since we are all individuals.

How To Start Incorporating More Self-Care

Self-care is a hot topic, but not everyone fully gets the various dimensions of self-care. Rachel shared that women usually feel a bit stuck in life and don’t feel they have a good sense of balance. We lead busy lives, but we need to find a way to incorporate more self-care into our lives and prioritize our needs. A great way to start on your self-care journey is to discover what resonates with you in regards to the ways you enjoy self-care and start including it in your schedule. Determine what is maintainable, sustainable, and won’t make you feel overwhelmed.

How will you incorporate more time for self-care?
